Foscam FI9826 Camera Features

  1. Provide a true optical zoom function for these cameras. The current app only has a low-quality digital zoom, but the cameras have a 3X optical zoom.

  2. Provide full brightness/contrast/sharpness/color controls. The cameras are almost useless looking outdoors without this.

    The Foscam 9826 brightness is too high during sunlight. Video bleaches out making it impossible to see the images.

    Web Gui allows all functions, but the APP has been shorted the optical zoom, contrast and brightness functions. Why? My android browsers wont install the plugins, so I am stuck using the app. Just wish it was as functional as the Web GUI!

    zoom is in the foscam app and very much required. It's the only reason I' not using OWLR. Not used contrast, but it would be very useful!

    Yes please, this is a great app, but no sense using after I payed for versions of foscam with optical Zoom in them!

    Also looking for optical zoom. I like the app but I want to use the options I paid for in the camera. Digital zoom become's too un clear.

    We are using this optical zoom also for guarding cows who are in labor.
    I am making use of Foscam 9826P and Foscam 9828P PTZ .
    The model 9828P outdoor PTZ has even a function to correct the focus of the lens.
    It would be very usefull if this option is also available because the autofocus is depending on the contrast of the object. Using it in a stable needs more often manual correction when it is aiming at the hai.

    We need this optical zoom functionality. My wife is in a persistent vegetative state and I put a Foscam camera in her room at a medical facility to be able to monitor her remotely. Without the zoom, I cannot even tell if she is breathing. I would like to use this app, but in it's current state, I simply cannot. Please add the optical zoom functionality.

    I fully agree! Optical zoom badly needed! It is truly a shame that the features of the camera cannot be utilized.
