Android App lacks PTZ control for Foscam R2(V4)
The current (as of April 2018) Android app lacks PTZ controls for the Foscam R2 (at least for my V4).
Any chance of getting this added? My other, really old Foscam cameras work fine (w/ PTZ).
Thanks for considering!
123 votesThat is correct – this is a feature that we are likely going to add soon. Please see the list of supported cameras and features here: https://owlr.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/458563-supported-cameras-for-owlr-apps.

More security via https
Add https support for cams in iOS App. At the moment it's only possible in Adroid to connect cameras via https.

Can't seem to find any software other than their own that supports their IP Cameras.
All I want to do is be able to live stream 2 different IP Cameras on the same screen using the Android platform.

Sync Cameras Between Devices
In the Foscam app, you can add a camera via iPhone and it will appear when you open the Foscam app on my iPad. The Foscam app syncs through the user's cloud subscription (they give you a free account, then bombard you with ads to buy more storage). Perhaps the sync feature could be part of the OWLR Alert subscription: the camera data could be in the user's account, and the cameras sync when they log in.

-Snapshot of current view
-Local storage on device
-Email alert for those3 votesWe are working tooth and nail to identify ways of refining and polishing up the App.

Support uniview ip cameras
Support for the new Uniview ip cameras as well as hikvision and Dahua. They all support the Onvif protocol so supporting the Onvif would let these ip cameras as well as many others work.

Support Amcrest IP8M-2496EB
Because this is one of the hottest cameras on the market right now, and will only get more popular.
It's Amazon's #1 new release in bullet surveillance cameras.
This model currently offers the most megapixels per dollar of any Amcrest IP camera I'm aware of.
Also I have two of them coming in the mail and would looooove to use the owlr app :D

Allow resizing of the individual camera views on the main window
I am currently only viewing 2 cameras and they sit in tiny windows at the top left of the screen, why can’t these windows be reliable or auto best fit the available screen space, this should apply to both landscape or portrate, for instance with only 2 cameras having the iPad in portrate mode should fill the screen with the 2 camera video feeds one above the other.

Implement Security Enhancements
Hi OWLR Team!
I'd love to be able to access my cameras behind my VPN. From other apps, I can access computers and my cameras via their internal IPs when my phone is connected to my VPN, but I cannot seem to connect to my cameras via their internal IP from OWLR while connected to the VPN.
Also, most or all of my cameras now support HTTPS protocol. It would also be a great enhancement if OWLR supported this secure protocol too. If it already does please disregard, I just didn't seem to be able to connect to the cameras…

Hi Michael,
Our delay is not because we do not want to; we do – but security is our top concern.
It’s due to limited resources and time – we are a startup. Add your votes to support this feature here. This will help show us the demand for the feature, affecting how we prioritise in future.
I still need help:
If you still need help, please get in touch with us using the in-app feedback button or email us here. We are more than happy to help! -
Possible to support D-Link DCS-8000LH?
The new D-Link DCS-8000LH was not discovered by OWLR.
http://us.dlink.com/products/cameras/mini-hd-wi-fi-camera-dcs-8000lh/The camera has no wired ethernet so the initial configuration is done over Bluetooth BLE using a smartphone app.
I could not find that there is any web administration interface available for configuration.
But here is what I could reverse engineer about its network capabilities.https://<local ip>/common/info.cgi

Wansview q1
Support for all wansview cameras. They (wansview) are working hard on fixing firmware bugs, but the iOS app lets it down unfortunatly, especially playback of files. I would love to have the solid support of OWLR with my wansviews.

Support Foscam FI9928P with pan & optical zoom
Foscam FI9928P is not listed as a supported camera but the OWLR app for the iPad allows gesture control for both pan and tilt of the Foscam FI9928P camera and works great!
The OWLR app for the Android version does not show PTZ controls or allow gesture control of pan and tilt. Both apps do not allow optical zoom.
