Hi. Thanks for the feature request. If it receives more votes, it will be prioritised.

UPDATE Mar 2016: wow. Sometimes, the best plans are up for funny. All of the things stated below are true but we are in the midst of a proper rewrite of the iOS codebase – so it may take a little longer. Humble apologies.

Thanks for the feedback here – want to make sure you get the answers:
1. HTTPS is on the roadmap – sometime in October.
2. On the 2132 and 5222 – we do support the PTZ. But we are working on the other features.
3. If you are using a VPN, then you are always on your local network if they are on the same network – so you do not need the external details – unless you wish to access them through your home network providers router.
4. We are on the Sort feature – we had it a…An error occurred while saving the comment TheAlteredState commentedHttps in October 2016 you say?

Hi Michael,
Our delay is not because we do not want to; we do – but security is our top concern.
It’s due to limited resources and time – we are a startup. Add your votes to support this feature here. This will help show us the demand for the feature, affecting how we prioritise in future.
I still need help:

An error occurred while saving the comment TheAlteredState commentedAgreed, they’ve been saying that they will add this to iOS since 2016 (coming summer of 2016 apparently). Yet here we sit, 3 years later with nothing. The excuse that they gave in the App Store was that they don’t think self signed certificates are secure and therefore won’t add the feature... Sure, let’s just completely omit the encryption feature, because that’s much more secure. :s
I understand that there may be a concern with self-signed certs (although my Foscam’s have wildcard certs, not self-signed), but even that is better than no encryption at all. Come on, add the https support and do the certificate validation as an additional security option. This is how most apps do it. At least then users have the option.
Honestly, this is just starting to get a bit ridiculous actually.
Sync via iCloud sounds good to me! Many apps do this.
