Add a sound alert feature
To make use of cameras as baby and pet monitors, a sound alert would be greatly welcome. Foscam has this in their app and it's about the only thing IN their app that works and has been useful. I like OWLR overall way more but the lack of sound alerts keeps it from being my preferred camera app.

Change the notification sound within the app
The OWLR app uses the default notification sound if you choose to have the app notify you of motion alerts with a Push notification. It would be beneficial to have the app allow customization of this sound so it doesn't sound the same as other apps on my phone.

Edit default record time for motion detection
I love the. gif files I get when the motion detection option behind to record. I am fine with it being .gif but need it to be longer in duration, like for the duration of motion!
Makes no sense that even though the is still motion, it does not get captured. Or option to record actual low-res video instead?

IOS app lacks audio for Foscam R2 (V4)
The current IOS version 1.60 does not offer audio for Foscam R2(V4) Any reason why this is not available yet?

Wansview q1
Support for all wansview cameras. They (wansview) are working hard on fixing firmware bugs, but the iOS app lets it down unfortunatly, especially playback of files. I would love to have the solid support of OWLR with my wansviews.

Dark mode
Have a dark mode for the app. I use this for viewing baby cams at night. The white UI bits are too bright at night.

Audio level Threshold under which phone will be mute
Would like a feature where the sounds will mute under a certain threshold. That will allow to monitor a baby for example leaving the phone for the night with the app open and not wake up from every little noise the baby makes.

VPN compatibility
I use a VPN to connect to my home. Once connected, the private IP address of the camera becomes available to Owlr, even though I am not connected via WiFi.
However, when I am not connected with WiFi, Owlr will only try to use the 'external' address.
It would be nice for the App to send an ARP request first to check if the internal address is available, before falling back to the external address.16 votes -

When trying to use foscam r2 I get credential errors. Please make sure to support 12 characters and special characters as well.
