Dark mode
Have a dark mode for the app. I use this for viewing baby cams at night. The white UI bits are too bright at night.
19 votesOh, I do love a dark theme myself. Won’t be high priority but love the idea

Which other specific Amcrest Cameras would you prefer to be added?

Foscam FI9826 Camera Features
Provide a true optical zoom function for these cameras. The current app only has a low-quality digital zoom, but the cameras have a 3X optical zoom.
Provide full brightness/contrast/sharpness/color controls. The cameras are almost useless looking outdoors without this.
45 votesWow – did not know this. We will look into this in the coming months. If there are others who need this, please add your support.

Swipe sideways to switch cameras
When watching a camera, swipe left and right to view the next or previous camera when multiple cameras are available.
26 votesWe are considering this feature – the real challenge is that some of our users love the pan/tilt on the camera via gestures – so this makes it more difficult. But we will seriously consider this.

Support H.264
We need support for cameras that have H.264 video streaming. Some DLINK cameras have this (DCS2332L).

has different viewing layout options
for example, instead of viewing camera feeds one after the other, maybe an option to view in blocks of 4
25 votesWe are looking into this – at the present time, we have to focus on generating some of the more complex features while raising money. We will get to other layout options on the phone and on the tablets in the coming year.

Support Wansview 1080p NCM625GA
The Wansview 1080p NCM625GA is a confirmed camera that has a similar price point to newer Foscam IP camera's but without the terrible firmware issues. The Wansview NCM625GA is sold on amazon as Wansview 1080P 2.0MP WiFi Wireless IP Security Camera, Full HD.
The Wansview is known to work easily with Zoneminder on Linux in addition to Mac and Window's platforms. Checkout this review: http://marc.merlins.org/perso/linuxha/post_2013-11-10_Reviewing-IP-Webcams-for-Linux-and-Zoneminder_Dlink-DCS900_-Ubnt-Aircam_-Foscam-FI8904W-FI8910W_-FFI9820W_-FI9821W_-Wansview-NCB541W_-and-Zavio-F3210.html (about 2/3's down the updated page).
39 votesIf we receive more votes for this feature, we can consider it.

Toggle Motion Detection
I use OWLR with the Foscam C1 HD camera. Your app works very well, much better than the paid apps too.
I use the C1 as a baby monitor and would like to toggle the Motion/Sound detecion from the OWLR app
The only way to do that now is to open the focam app-click on the camera-settings-alert-activity detection/sound detection-on/off
Also Video recording/iPad support will be awesome.
106 votesUPDATE 01/02/2017: Android has been out for around a month now.
iOS is out, go check on the app store

Add Lorex camera support
I'm using Lorex MCNC100. It supports RTSP video feed.
The password for video seed is set separately. It also requires camera ID as part of the URL.
The complete URL is rtsp://<address>:554/<camera_id>.<play_video_password>
Video is mp4v (H264). Audio is PCM MU-LAW (mlaw).
If OWLR can add generic RTSP support, it is good enough to expend the list of supported devices.
25 votesWe are currently completing a rewrite of the app – and will investigate which one to include next.

Support Wifi Networks with No Internet
I have a wifi network that isn't connected to the Internet but OWLR won't let me add cameras on that network.
7 votesLooking into this. We discovered it and are working on solving it.

Support for the QD900wifi
This is a reasonably priced outdoor camera. I've started moving away from the old cameras and I hope to continue using this great app for the new Escam QD900 cams.
Thanks,
Ken3 votesWe will look – but right now, it is low on the priority list.

Allow for the Detailed view to support the high bit-rate stream and the substream (lower bit rate) when accessing from some control either on the screen or via the Settings.

Allow for viewing the remote cameras via the Apple Watch
32 votesUPDATE 6/12/2016: In all honesty we are focusing on the iOS app and the Android app. In the future this may be supported but not for a while.

Several suggestions and reports
I'm pasting my iOS App Store review here to make sure it gets heard. The App Store has a dendency to over analyze reviews...
This app is great! I was able to set up my camera within a couple minutes. It scanned my network and found them all and preloaded the correct IP information. I am also able to connect remotely with my current network configuration.
I have it four stars because I have a couple concerns. Here they are;
I do not see the option to use HTTPS when connecting. This is a big deal. Please add this ASAP.…
11 votesUPDATE Mar 2016: wow. Sometimes, the best plans are up for funny. All of the things stated below are true but we are in the midst of a proper rewrite of the iOS codebase – so it may take a little longer. Humble apologies.

Thanks for the feedback here – want to make sure you get the answers:
1. HTTPS is on the roadmap – sometime in October.
2. On the 2132 and 5222 – we do support the PTZ. But we are working on the other features.
3. If you are using a VPN, then you are always on your local network if they are on the same network – so you do not need the external details – unless you wish to access them through your home network providers router.
4. We are on the Sort feature – we had it a…
